Nikola Hristov

Nikola Hristov has extensive work experience in the field of payments and financial services. Nikola started their career in 2008 at UniCredit Consumer Financing Bulgaria, where they worked in sales financing and personal loans for a brief period.

In 2008, Nikola joined Skrill as a Payments Specialist, responsible for processing customer funds and collaborating with third-party payment providers. Nikola later transitioned into the role of Team Leader in Payments Operations and eventually became a Project Manager for Payments Services. In this role, they were responsible for bringing new payment products to the market, managing projects from concept to maintenance, and acting as the interface between business users, stakeholders, and R&D. Nikola displayed a deep understanding of various electronic payment services, including bank transfers, card payments, and digital banking solutions.

Since 2014, Nikola has been working at TIS (Treasury Intelligence Solutions), initially as a Product Owner and Project Manager in the banking sector. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Product Management and Site Manager for TIS Bulgaria. Their responsibilities include leading the product management team for enterprise payments and overseeing the operations of the Bulgarian site.

Throughout their career, Nikola has demonstrated expertise in payments, product management, project delivery, and stakeholder management.

Nikola Hristov completed their Master's degree in Finance from South-West University from 2005 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a High School diploma in Mathematics and Computer Science from the "Akad. Sergey Pavlovich Korolyov" High School of Mathematics, attending from 1998 to 2003.

In addition to their formal education, Nikola has also pursued several certifications. Nikola completed the "Retrieval Queries in MySQL Workbench" course from Coursera in July 2022 and the "What is Data Science?" course from IBM Skills Network in the same month and year. In May 2017, they obtained the "Qualified Specialist / Client Advisor - SWIFT for Corporates Specialist" certification from SWIFT, and in May 2018, they achieved the "Six Sigma Yellow Belt" certification from 6sigmastudy. Furthermore, Nikola has a certification as a "Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)" from Scrum Alliance, although the month and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.
