Ryan Govender

Ryan Govender has an extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Currently, they serve as the Chief Financial Officer at Treatt. Prior to this, they held the position of Division CFO/Finance Director at Associated British Foods plc, where they served as the Chief Financial Officer for SPI Pharma. During their tenure at Associated British Foods plc, they established a new global growth strategy and enhanced the finance and procurement team culture.

Before joining Associated British Foods plc, Ryan worked as the Assistant General Manager Treasury at Toyota Tsusho Africa and as the Head of Finance and M&A at Siren Freight and Logistics. Ryan also gained experience as a Treasury Accountant at Citi and as an Audit Senior at PwC.

Throughout their career, Ryan has demonstrated their expertise in financial management, strategy development, and team leadership.

Ryan Govender completed a short-term program in Strategic Management at Cambridge Judge Business School in 2020. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2006, they attended the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, where they obtained a degree as a Chartered Accountant (SA) with a focus on Accounting and Finance. From 1999 to 2002, Ryan attended the University of KwaZulu-Natal, earning an Honours & Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance. In 2020, they also pursued the ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) qualification through ICAEW. Furthermore, Ryan obtained additional certifications including PowerMBA from ThePowerMBA in November 2020 and completed a program called Strategic Management: Creating & Sustaining Competitive Advantage from Executive Education at Cambridge Judge Business School in October 2020.
