Joel Leverson

Vice President Translational Biology at Treeline Biosciences

Joel Leverson has a strong background in the field of biosciences, with over 20 years of experience in various leadership and research roles. Joel currently holds the position of Vice President of Translational Biology at Treeline Biosciences since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Pfizer as a Senior Director Project Team Leader from May 2021 to February 2022. Before joining Pfizer, Joel held the position of Senior Director at AbbVie for eight years, from January 2013 to May 2021. Joel began their career as a Research Investigator at Abbott, where they worked for ten years from January 2003 to December 2012. Joel's initial experience in the field began at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, where they served as a Postdoctoral Fellow from June 1998 to January 2003. With their extensive experience in both scientific research and leadership positions, Joel Leverson brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role at Treeline Biosciences.

Joel Leverson obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, Chemistry, and Humanities from Valparaiso University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. Subsequently, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Cell Biology at Northwestern University, completing their studies from 1993 to 1998.
