Jimmy Paulos

Head of Robotics at Treeswift

Jimmy Paulos is currently the Head of Robotics at Treeswift. Jimmy has also previously worked with the University of Pennsylvania, AeroVironment, and the California Institute of Technology. Jimmy's experience with AeroVironment entailed analysis, design, and prototyping in support of technology initiatives in efficient energy systems. As a teaching assistant at California Institute of Technology, they helped undergraduate students with design classes and the ME72 design competition. Additionally, while working as a student researcher at Caltech, they were responsible for testing, fabrication, design, and system architecture work in support of Caltech's entry in the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge race for autonomous road vehicles.

Jimmy Paulos has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering / Robotics from the University of Pennsylvania, a MEng in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech.

They are on a team with Alex Young - Chief Pilot & Research Forester, Elizabeth Hunter - COO & Co-Founder, and Vaibhav Arcot - Software Lead & Co-Founder. Jimmy Paulos reports to Steven Chen, CEO & Co-Founder.
