Nina Ekstrand

Nina Ekstrand has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Nina is currently working as the Head of Marketing & Communication at TreeToTextile since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Executive Consultant at Ekstrand Executive Consulting from February 2022 to January 2023. Nina served as the EVP Communications & Brand at BillerudKorsnäs from May 2021 to March 2022. Earlier, they worked as the Deputy Commissioner General at Regeringskansliet, Utrikesdepartementet from February 2018 to May 2021. Nina has also worked at Swedavia AB, SCA Hygiene Products, National Museum of Science and Technology in Stockholm, The Swedish Committee for Expo 2010 in Shanghai, and Swedish Trade Council in various roles. At Swedavia AB, they held positions such as Customer Experience and Brand & Design Manager, and Brand & Design Manager. Their roles at SCA Hygiene Products included Brand & Marketing Director Team SCA and Global Brand Equity Sponsorship Manager. Nina worked as the Sponsorship Manager at the National Museum of Science and Technology in Stockholm. At The Swedish Committee for Expo 2010 in Shanghai, they served as the Deputy Commissioner General. Finally, their roles at the Swedish Trade Council included Key Account Manager and Manager, International Trade Fairs.

Nina Ekstrand attended Stockholm School of Economics in 2016 for a special course on "To Lead Digital Transformation." In 2015, they also attended Hyper Island for an intensive course focused on "Social Lab." In their earlier years, they pursued their bachelor's degree from 1985 to 1991 at Stockholm University in the field of "East Asian Studies," completing a total of 210 credits. In 1988, they briefly studied at Seoul National University, focusing specifically on Korean language studies.
