Soumyajyoti Basu

Soumyajyoti Basu has over 15 years of professional experience. Soumyajyoti began their career in 2005 as a Summer Intern at GE, John F Welch Technology Center in Bangalore. In 2006, they joined Fluent Inc. as a Development Engineer. In 2008, they worked as an Associate Intern at HSBC in London, United Kingdom, where they were involved in trading, pricing of interest rate derivative products, and performing principal component analysis of the Euro-Swiss yield curve. In 2009, they joined Frost & Sullivan as a Consultant in Kuala Lumpur, where they worked on preparation of information memorandum and business plans. In 2010, they joined ICRA as Assistant Vice President and Sector Head, Corporate Sector Ratings. In this role, they led a team of analysts, conducted independent credit appraisals, and managed client relationships. In 2021, they joined Trefis as a Senior Data Scientist and Investigation Engineer.

Soumyajyoti Basu completed a PGDM in Finance from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta in 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a B.Tech & M.Tech in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur between 2001 and 2006. Soumyajyoti also completed their Higher Secondary from ST Xaviers College Kolkata between 1998 and 2000. Soumyajyoti Basu's education began at Sainik School Purulia, where they completed their Secondary School between 1993 and 1998. In 2014, they obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera.
