Tim Vanderjeugd has a diverse work experience, starting with their freelance work as a sports and travel journalist and photographer from 2005 to 2011. During this time, they contributed to various newspapers and magazines in Belgium, The Netherlands, and the UK, with a focus on travel and sports journalism. Tim also worked as a news correspondent for a national TV and radio broadcaster in Antwerp.
In 2011, Tim joined Trek Bicycle and took on the role of Trek-Segafredo PR and Marketing Manager. In this position, they were responsible for public relations for the Trek road team at the UCI WorldTour. Tim built relationships with media outlets, enhanced the team's public image, arranged interviews and media appearances for the athletes, and served as a spokesperson for the team and the Trek brand. Tim also created press releases, race reports, and behind-the-scenes editorial stories to promote the team and the brand. Tim held this role until September 2016 when they became the Global Director of Sports Marketing at Trek Bicycle, a position they still hold.
Tim Vanderjeugd completed a Master's degree in Romance Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at KU Leuven from 2000 to 2004. In 2004, they attended VLEKHO Business School Brussel for a postgraduate program in Journalism, which lasted until 2005.
