Chuong Nguyen

Senior Staff Software Engineer at Trellis Technologies

Chuong Nguyen has a diverse range of work experience spanning over the past decade. Starting in 2009, they worked as a High School Student Intern at R.E. Dimond and Associates. In 2011, they were a Summer Research Intern at NASA Glenn Research Center, where they conducted research on salt-water algae and developed a renewable pumped hydro-storage system. The following year, in 2012, they participated in the Los Alamos Dynamics Summer School program at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

In 2014, Chuong became a Graduate Student Intern at Southwest Research Institute. Chuong then co-founded Zensei, Inc. in 2016, serving as the CTO. At Zensei, they oversaw all aspects of the development life cycle, leading the platform for fitness coaches to help individuals achieve their fitness goals.

In 2018, Chuong transitioned to Zylo, where they started as a Software Engineer and was subsequently promoted to Senior Software Engineer. Chuong contributed to the development of software at the company until 2021.

Most recently, Chuong joined Trellis in 2021. Chuong started as a Senior Software Engineer and has since progressed to become a Staff Software Engineer, taking on senior-level roles within the company.

Chuong Nguyen received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, which they pursued from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they went on to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, in June 2017, Chuong obtained a certification in Startup School Online from Y Combinator.
