JP Allen

JP Allen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. They began their career as an Urban Fellow in the Mayor's Office in the City of New York, where they worked in speechwriting. They then moved on to Hailo, a ridesharing startup, where they held roles as a Marketing Associate in both North America and New York City, managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and contributing to significant passenger and driver growth. Following this, JP worked as an Editorial Assistant at The Waywiser Press, where they played a key role in promoting the publisher's content. They also served as a Co-Organizer at Hey You, Come Back! and a Database Manager and Teacher at Writers in Baltimore Schools. JP gained experience in academia as an Assistant Editor and Lecturer at The Johns Hopkins University, where they taught various writing and literature courses. Additionally, they worked as an Assistant Poetry Editor and Associate Poetry Editor at Narrative Magazine. JP's most recent role was at User Interviews, where they held multiple positions, including Senior Growth Marketing Manager and Lifecycle Marketing Manager. They are currently employed as a Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Manager at Tremendous, where they oversee the execution of lifecycle marketing strategies. Throughout their career, JP has demonstrated expertise in marketing, writing, editing, teaching, and database management.

JP Allen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Middlebury College between the years 2007 and 2011. Following that, they pursued a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Poetry at The Johns Hopkins University from 2015 to 2017.
