Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions for educational technologies. Since July 2010, Chris has been with SMART Technologies, excelling in roles as both an electrical engineer and firmware engineer, focusing on hardware and firmware development for innovative interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Prior to this, Chris worked as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, designing and repairing educational devices, and as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, where responsibilities included circuit design and software development for control systems in the forestry industry. Chris also served as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, contributing to student labs and assessments. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
