Deniz Alacam is a highly experienced researcher and educator with a strong background in mathematics and statistics. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at TReNDS Center since September 2021, Deniz has implemented machine learning and artificial intelligence methods on multimodal brain imaging datasets. In a previous role as a Lecturer at Uludag University, Deniz developed a mathematical model for soil contamination and taught various calculus courses. Additional experience includes mentoring undergraduate research students, developing models for neural networks during graduate studies at Georgia State University, and conducting research at Boston University School of Medicine. Deniz holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics and an MS in Statistics from Georgia State University, along with an M.A. in Mathematics and Statistics from Boston University, and a BS in Mathematics from Ankara University.
