Maria Misiura

Maria Misiura is an experienced communications manager and postdoctoral researcher currently associated with the TReNDS Center and the Dotson Aging Well for Everyone (AWE) lab at Georgia State University, respectively. With a rich background in psychology, Maria has held various roles, including instructor, graduate student, and research assistant at Georgia State University and Emory University, focusing on neuroimaging, cognitive function, and aging. Maria has also served as marketing director at the Elaine Sterling Institute, where responsibilities included content creation, event organization, and social media management. Maria holds a PhD in Psychology from Georgia State University, complemented by an MA in Psychology and a BA in Psychology from Agnes Scott College.

TReNDS Center

TReNDS is focused on developing, applying, and sharing advanced analytic approaches and neuroinformatics tools that leverage brain imaging and omics data with a goal of translating these approaches into biomarkers that help address relevant areas of brain health and disease. Large-scale data sharing and advanced data-driven and machine learning methods as well as multimodal data fusion techniques are the underpinnings of our approach.
