Vaibhavi Itkyal is a skilled professional with a strong background in biotechnology and computational neuroscience. Currently serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at TReNDS Center under Dr. Vince Calhoun, Vaibhavi developed a novel multimodal deep learning framework for Alzheimer’s disease classification. Experience as a Graduate Student at Emory University complements roles such as Machine Learning Engineer at Avesha, focusing on data engineering and machine learning algorithms for resource optimization in Kubernetes. Prior positions include Master Thesis Student at The University of Queensland, Student Research Associate at the University of Pennsylvania, and various research and leadership roles in academic and corporate settings. Vaibhavi holds a Bachelor's and Master's in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and is pursuing a PhD in Computational Neuroscience at Emory University.
