Emese Makk dr. LL.M.

Emese Makk has extensive legal and compliance experience spanning over 22 years. Emese currently holds the position of Head of Legal at Tresorit since July 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Legal & Compliance at Fresenius Medical Care from March 2021 to July 2022. Emese also worked at MOL Group as a Group Compliance Expert from May 2019 to March 2021.

Emese'scareer started at Tesco in 2000, where they held various roles including CE Privacy Compliance Programme Manager from June 2017 to May 2019 and CE Compliance & Governance Manager from April 2015 to June 2017. Emese also served as a Compliance & Governance Officer from May 2013 to April 2015, as well as a Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel from May 2004 to April 2013. Emese began their journey as a Junior Lawyer at Tesco Hungary, actively participating in the creation of the in-house legal work and handling various legal matters from April 2000 to May 2004.

Emese started their legal career as a Legal Assistant at Szecskay Attorneys at Law, where they worked from 1997 to 1999. With expertise in compliance, corporate law, competition law, privacy law, and more, Emese brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to their roles.

Emese Makk dr. LL.M. attended Eötvös Loránd University from 1994 to 1999, where they studied in the Faculty of Law. Later, they pursued their education at Pázmány Péter Catholic University, specializing in ESP Translation with a focus on law from 2015 to 2017. In addition, Emese also studied EU law in English at Pázmány Péter Catholic University from 2004 to 2006.
