Jared A. Schneider

Jared A. Schneider is an experienced litigator who primarily specializes in the areas of aviation, insurance defense, civil and commercial litigation, appellate work and government law.

Jared frequently represents component-part manufacturers, maintenance and overhaul facilities, fixed base operators (FBOs), mechanics and pilots in air crash cases and other aviation related litigation. He is also regularly retained in matters to defend or prosecute aircraft damage and hull claims, including those involving claims for loss of use, diminution in value and loss of revenue and profit. He further provides valuable advice and support for aviation related businesses, including drafting and negotiating aircraft sales agreements, aircraft rental agreements, aircraft management agreements, and dry and wet lease agreements.

Jared’s practice also involves counseling and representing various local government entities, including cities and villages, in a wide range of matters.

For the past twelve years, Jared has devoted his practice to aviation-related matters, a significant part of that work having focused on insurance defense and catastrophic personal injury cases. He has successfully defended domestic companies, airports and privatized air traffic control towers in matters ranging from product liability, property damage, commercial disputes, breach of contract and personal injury.

Jared has extensive experience representing individuals and entities in FAA Enforcement Actions, including those involving Proposed Certificate Actions, Emergency Revocation Actions and Civil Penalty Actions. He also frequently provides his clients with valuable advice on effective strategies for communicating with the FAA, like how (and whether) one should respond to a FAA issued Letter of Investigation (LOI). Jared has also provided advice to individual aircraft owners, corporate aircraft owners and other aviation related businesses, including Part 141 flight schools, FBOs and Part 135 charter operations

In addition, Jared’s has experience representing local cities and villages in disputes and litigation involving local ordinances, contract formation and negotiations and demolition issues.
