Jim Cassella

Jim Cassella is an experienced professional in the field of neuroscience and pharmaceuticals, currently serving as a Board Member at Trevi Therapeutics, Inc. since February 2020. Cassella held the position of Chief Development Officer at SUN PHARMA from March 2023 to September 2024, following a similar role at Concert Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from February 2015 until its acquisition by Sun Pharma in March 2023. Additional experience includes serving as Chief Scientific Officer and EVP of Research and Development at Alexza Pharmaceuticals and SVP of Clinical Research and Development at Neurogen Corporation. Academic contributions include an appointment as Assistant Professor of Neuroscience at Oberlin College and a postdoctoral fellowship in Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. Cassella earned a PhD in Neuroscience from Dartmouth College and a BA in Psychology from the University of New Haven. Currently serving as an adviser to the Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of New Haven.
