Jason McDonald

Director Of Product Development at Trex

Jason McDonald has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jason began their career in 1997 as a Mechanical Engineer at General Engineering Systems Analysis Company Inc, where they worked on multiple research and development projects for organizations such as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Honda R&D. Jason achieved success in improving pedestrian safety, earning recognition from the Japanese Society of Automotive Engineers. After this, they worked as a Quality Engineer at Sino Swearingen Aircraft Corporation, where they implemented corrective action plans to reduce faulty parts and supervised the receiving inspection department. Subsequently, they joined PC Dimagno Engineers & Surveyors as a Civil Design Engineer, where they designed residential and commercial land development projects, obtaining approvals for complex projects in flood hazard and karst areas. Jason then moved to Snowy River Log Homes as a Design Engineer, where they established an in-house design department and managed log home kit design and production. Currently, Jason holds various positions at Trex Company, including Director of Product Development, where they oversee the development of new products and previously served as Manager and Engineer in the same department.

Jason McDonald obtained a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University College of Engineering from 1994-1996. Jason also obtained a Professional Engineer certification from West Virginia in December 2010.
