Alec has more than 25 years of commercial real estate finance experience.
Before joining Trez Capital, Alec spent more than 10 years at Simmons Bank (formerly Southwest Bank) in Fort Worth, Texas. As regional president of Simmons Bank, he was personally responsible for a commercial real estate loan portfolio of more than $400 million. In the year prior to joining Trez Capital, Alec closed more than $275 million in new commercial real estate loan commitments for the bank.
Prior to his tenure at Simmons Bank, he gained nearly a decade of commercial real estate finance experience while serving as vice president for Frost Bank and Wells Fargo, respectively.
Alec successfully completed the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking program, a partner of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He also received a Master of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Christian University.
Alec holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, one of the highest credentials in the investment management profession. He has been involved as a board member for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, has served as a Capstone advisor at the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking, served as a previous finance chair for the YMCA of Arlington and was the chairman of the Southwest Bank fundraising team for March of Dimes.
