Gavin Elwes

Gavin joined Trez Capital in March 2022 with over 25 years of experience in originating, structuring and closing commercial real estate loans.

Prior to joining Trez Capital, Gavin co-founded Brighton Capital Advisors LLC (BCA) and helped the company establish itself as a market leader for investors looking to restructure and recapitalize their CMBS loans and providing customized solutions to meet their complex financial needs. Prior to BCA, Gavin was a managing director in the Corporate and Investment Banking Group of Natixis where he managed a team who sourced and closed in excess of $4 billion of commercial real estate loans for both the firm’s balance sheet and CMBS lending programs. While at Natixis Gavin provided debt across the full spectrum of a property’s life cycle including ground-up construction, transitional bridge loans and CMBS fixed rate loans on all major property types.

Prior to joining Natixis in 2015, Gavin was a senior originator for UBS, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers and GE Capital Corporation. Gavin earned his Bachelor of Science from Cornell University School of Hotel Administration with a minor in real estate finance.
