Keiju Yamasaki

Keiju joined Trez Capital in July 2021 and leads the teams responsible for underwriting and providing risk oversight on the overall portfolio.

Keiju has 16 years of commercial banking experience with a deep knowledge in complex credit structuring, portfolio and relationship management. Throughout his career, he has managed a wide variety of loan structures, including various real estate financing including construction, auto dealership, sponsorship finance, project financing, M&A and syndicated financing.

Keiju began his career with HSBC, managing increasingly complex commercial portfolios. Prior to joining Trez Capital he was at a major Canadian bank in the Corporate Finance Group, focusing on managing and originating complex senior debt financing for larger diversified industries clients. Most recently, Keiju held the position of Managing Director and Team Lead, where he directly managed a team of portfolio managers and associates managing approximately $4 billion in loan authorizations.

Keiju holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Consulting & Strategic Management from the Sauder School of Business at UBC and a BBA in Finance & International Business from Simon Fraser University.
