Michelle Marguet

VP, Marketing Communications & Brand Strategy at Trez Capital

Michelle joined Trez Capital in 2020. She oversees brand strategy, the implementation of Trez’ communications, corporate marketing, and events. Michelle manages external agencies, including public relations, and coordinates investor relations events, all the while maintaining and furthering the Trez brand for all stakeholders.

Michelle is a capital markets professional with over 15 years of experience. She started her career in the financial industry in 2002 with a Canadian Bank. Michelle spent nearly 15 years at Raymond James Ltd. gaining a decade of experience in institutional marketing and related activities. While at RJ she liaised on cross-border corporate marketing efforts with their parent company, Raymond James & Associates, leading marketing mandates and events with teams from the United States, Europe and LatAM for business into the Canadian market. Prior to joining Trez, Michelle was Principal, Capital Markets Initiatives at Eight Capital, a 100% principal-owned Canadian full-service investment bank. While at Eight Capital she revamped all corporate marketing mandates and initiatives, led and expanded institutional marketing and corporate client programs servicing North America, United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Michelle received an Honours BFA from Ryerson University in 2005. She is a continued member of Women in Capital Markets (WCM), a member of the International Society of Female Professionals (ISFP), and sits on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI) since 2018.
