Ken Kerrick

Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer at Tri Counties Bank

Ken Kerrick has extensive experience in the field of information security and cybersecurity. Ken is currently serving as the Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer at Tri Counties Bank, where they lead the information security program and ensures the protection of information assets and customers. Ken is also an Advisory Board Member for the Master of Science in Cybersecurity program at Dominican University of California, providing guidance and oversight for the students.

Additionally, Ken has held various roles in organizations such as InfraGard and the FBI National Citizens Academy Alumni Association, where they have contributed to the promotion of national security and community safety. Ken has also been involved with ISACA Sacramento, serving as a board member and playing a key role in certifications and exam preparation sessions.

Ken has founded their own company, Cyber Sacramento LLC, where they offer IT leadership and consulting services, specializing in areas such as network design, infrastructure architecture, and cybersecurity. Ken is also a Co-Founder and Chief Information Security Officer at Vest Life, Inc., a platform that supports parents and service providers for special needs.

Furthermore, Ken has been an active member of advisory boards and councils in organizations such as the I.T Governance & Cybersecurity Institute and Cybersecurity for Executives at California State University, Chico, demonstrating their commitment to promoting responsible cybersecurity practices and education. Previously, they served as the Chief Information Security Officer at the University of the Pacific, where they led infrastructure and application services teams and implemented innovative solutions for the institution.

Ken Kerrick has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at El Paso. Ken has also completed the FBI Citizens Academy in Sacramento in 2021 and is currently pursuing the FBI Cyber Academy in Sacramento, which they are expected to complete in 2022. In addition to their formal education, Ken has obtained several certifications, including Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM®) from the Identity Management Institute in 2022, APMG Accredited Trainer - Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from APMG International in 2020, Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer™ (CDPSE™) from ISACA in 2020, Certified Information Security Manager® (CISM) from ISACA in 2019, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2017.
