Susie Lomelino

Chief Communications & Marketing Officer at Tri Global Energy

As Chief Communications & Marketing Officer, Susie Lomelino is responsible for the company’s national communications operation and response, including market strategy, government affairs and corporate communications with the goal to enhance Tri Global Energy’s industry leadership throughout the global energy transition.

Over six years, Susie has strategically developed multiple initiatives to leverage important influencers to advance Tri Global Energy’s objectives. A proactive media campaign ensures that company milestones are announced to key audiences and has resulted in multiple stories in outlets from Bloomberg, AP News and The Globe and Mail to leading industry trade publications like Recharge, North American Windpower, and Renewables Now. Ongoing government relations outreach has resulted in dozens of meetings in Washington, D.C., Austin and Dallas, including a White House business conference, U.S. Congressmen, Senators and Governors – and even an international delegation. Legislation is monitored on a daily basis to ensure the company can act in a timely manner on bills affecting renewable energy and related matters, and the company actively works within the industry’s associations (American Wind Energy Association/American Clean Power Association). Support for key organizations, from The National MS Society to Texas Tech University to local youth agriculture programs, ensures the company upholds social responsibilities.

Susie has extensive and significant experience in top-level communications, public relations, and marketing, having led national and global assignments for Fortune 500 companies and start-up companies, international and national government agencies, and non-profits. At Hill and Knowlton in Los Angeles and Dallas, she was an account supervisor before moving to the U.S. headquarters of Publicis Public Relations (earlier Bloom Public Relations). There she served in several senior leadership positions before her appointment to President and CEO, growing the company to among the top 50 U.S. independent marketing communications firms. In 1990, while at Publicis, Susie received international recognition from Queen Elizabeth of England for her work in the U.S. on behalf of New Zealand. She also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the consumer group at Michael Burns & Associates and later as Managing Director of public relations at Dallas-based Calise Partners.

Susie has a bachelor’s degree in business and broadcast journalism from Arizona State University and a Master of Arts in public relations from the University of Southern California. During her undergraduate work, Susie also completed a journalism fellowship at Columbia University in New York City and a government relations fellowship in Washington, D.C. for Senator Dennis DeConcini (D-AZ).
