Richard Ball

Richard Ball is an experienced geologist with a significant background in the energy sector, currently serving as Vice President at Tri-Star Group since May 2023, where responsibilities include identifying exploration targets and leading the Geosciences team. Previously, Richard held the position of Director of Geology at Detring Energy Advisors from December 2016 to January 2023, contributing to the company's growth and presenting numerous asset evaluations. At Chevron Southern Africa Strategic Business Unit from 2007 to 2016, Richard managed geological teams and completed successful drilling campaigns in West Africa. Earlier career experiences include roles at T-ingo Importers LLC, Rainier Minerals, and Topp Knotch Personnel, alongside a strong educational foundation with advanced degrees in geology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Stephen F. Austin State University, complemented by extensive training through the Chevron Training Program.
