Igor Kormaz

Igor Kormaz, P.E., currently serves as the Operations Support Manager at Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. since September 2007, overseeing operations functions that support the real-time Transmission Operations Center. In previous roles at Tri-State, Igor managed teams of Operating Engineers, EMS Engineers, and Outage Coordinators, and coordinated activities for the North American Transmission Forum. Earlier professional experience includes work as a Senior System Operating Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed performing real-time contingency analyses and interfacing with the Energy Management System. Additionally, Igor worked as a Power System Planning Engineer, conducting reliability assessment studies and representing Tri-State in regional technical groups. Prior to joining Tri-State, Igor held a position as an Electrical Engineer at Questar, focusing on the design of SCADA systems for gas transmission facilities. Igor holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado Denver and a degree in Power Engineering from the Белорусский государственный технологический университет.
