David Marcoux has a extensive work experience in the field of chemistry. David began their career as a summer student at Merck in 2005. David then worked as a teaching assistant at Université de Montréal from 2008 to 2009. David further pursued their career as an NSERC Postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University from 2010 to 2012.
After their time at Harvard, David joined Bristol Myers Squibb in 2012 as a Research Investigator II in Discovery Chemistry. David worked there until 2020, holding progressively more senior roles, including Senior Research Investigator II and Senior Research Investigator I. During their time at Bristol Myers Squibb, they specialized in chemotype discovery and optimization.
In 2020, David joined The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson as a Senior Scientist in US Discovery Chemistry. David later became a Principal Scientist, both in Global Discovery Chemistry and in Screening Triage & Early Chemistry US Head.
Currently, David is the Director of Chemistry at TRIANA Biomedicines, a position they started in January 2023.
David Marcoux completed their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières from 2002 to 2005. David then pursued their Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry at Université de Montréal from 2005 to 2009. Following that, they obtained their Post-Doctorate degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from Harvard University, where they studied from 2010 to 2012.
