Tariq Getrouw is an experienced coach and supervisor in aquatic environments, with a background in lifeguarding and swimming instruction. Currently holding positions as a coach at Triangle Aquatic Center and a manager at Aquatic Management Group, Tariq ensures safety in the pool while teaching swimming skills. Tariq has also held roles such as lifeguard supervisor at St. Andrews University and head age group coach at Raleigh Swimming Association. With an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Monroe Community College, Tariq brings a strong educational foundation to their work in the aquatic industry.

The facility Is 72,000 sq. ft., One Of The Largest Public Aquatic Facilities In North Carolina. Our Center was founded to fill the long-term need for year-round public aquatic facilities that addresses the health, safety, recreation and competition needs of Triangle citizens and organizations. TAC is the host to over 70 aquatic events and visited by more than 450,000 patrons annually. TAC is the home for the TAC TITANS Swim Team, NCHSAA Championships, Special Olympics of North Carolina, the National Black Heritage Meet, Boys and Girls Clubs of Wake County, and many more.
