Ian Sotnek

Ian Sotnek is an experienced AI engineer and entrepreneur with a robust background in artificial intelligence and data science. Currently serving as an AI Engineer at Tribe AI since September 2024, Ian is involved in developing innovative AI and data science prototypes. As a Co-Founder and AI Engineer at AI Squared, Ian plays a pivotal role in internal AI R&D initiatives, having successfully raised $6MM in Series Seed funding to create PaaS and SaaS solutions for various sectors, including financial services and cybersecurity. Additional experience includes project management and software engineering for a stealth startup, an internship at Maxar Technologies focusing on data science and computer vision, and research roles at the National Security Archive and the University of Delaware. Ian holds a PhD in Biomechanics from the University of Delaware, along with a Master’s in International Policy and Practice with a focus on AI policy from The George Washington University and a Master’s in Exercise & Sport Science from Merrimack College.
