Abe Bland is the founder of Tribes Adventure Group, established in September 2011, which focuses on mentoring for personal and societal growth using an adventure-based approach that incorporates ecotherapy and tribal values. In addition, Abe serves as a Lance Corporal in the Army Reserves since January 2002, providing training to recruits and deploying on operations in the Solomon Islands.
