Jun Shao

Jun Shao has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Jun started their career at Symyx Technologies Inc. as a Staff Scientist from 2003 to 2004. Jun then joined ILYPSA, Inc. as a Sr. Staff Scientist from 2004 to 2007. After that, they worked at Relypsa, Inc. as a Principal Scientist from 2007 to 2014. Jun Shao then joined Tricida, Inc. and held various roles, including Director of Biology from 2014 to 2019, and currently serves as the Director of Medical Affairs since 2020.

Jun Shao earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Shandong University in 1989. Jun then pursued a Master of Science degree in Microbiology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences from 1989 to 1991. In 1999, they completed their education by obtaining a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Wayne State University.
