Michael Lacey has extensive work experience, starting with their current role as a Sustainable Products Manager at Tricon International, Ltd. since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at ExxonMobil for over 20 years, holding various roles including Global Advocacy Manager, Sustainability Venture Executive, Early Stage Program Manager, Opportunity Identification Manager, Market Development Manager, Global Product Manager, Research Operations Section Supervisor, Laboratory Section Supervisor, Planning Advisor, R&D Portfolio Manager, Informatics Project Leader, and Senior Research Chemist. Their tenure at ExxonMobil spanned from July 2001 to December 2021.

Michael Lacey earned their B.S. degree in Chemistry from Texas A&M University, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Later on, they pursued their Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing their doctoral studies from 1996 to 2001.
