Brian Cormack Carr

Brian Cormack Carr serves as the Chief Executive of BVSC, The Centre for Voluntary Action since June 2001, leading initiatives to foster community engagement and support for the voluntary sector in Birmingham. In addition to this role, Brian holds positions as Group Chair and Non Executive Director at Trident Group – UK since March 2018 and has been a Non Executive Director at Birmingham Children's Trust from September 2017 to March 2024. As a Certified Professional Coach and author since 2009, Brian published "How to Find Your Vital Vocation," providing guidance to a diverse range of professionals seeking purposeful work. Previous experience includes managing director at Leicester Citizens Advice Bureau and personnel manager at Marks and Spencer. Brian holds an MA (Hons) in English Literature & Language from the University of Aberdeen.
