Tapan Desai

Tapan Desai is an experienced engineering professional with a diverse background in hardware design and development. Currently serving as Manager of Payload Processing at HawkEye 360 since November 2021, Tapan has held various roles including Product Development Manager at Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions, Senior Firmware Engineer at VT iDirect, and Senior FPGA Engineer at Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing. Previous experiences also include senior engineering roles at Ciena Communications and Qbit Corp, focusing on hardware implementations and system integration of complex algorithms. Tapan began a career in analysis and design as a Computer Engineer at Niitek Inc. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from George Mason University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Zambia.
