Nuno Rafael Lourenço has a diverse work experience in the field of lighting control networks and communication strategies. Nuno Rafael worked as the Head of Software Design and Architecture at Tridonic, where they led a team of architects and designers and was responsible for coordinating with stakeholders to deliver the LITEKIT lighting platform. Before that, they held the role of System Architect at Tridonic.
Prior to their time at Tridonic, Nuno worked at Zumtobel Group as a Technology Expert on Communications and at Think Control as a Technology Consultant. Nuno Rafael also gained experience as a Technology Expert and Project Leader at Zumtobel Lighting, where they specialized in networks, communications, and hardware development for lighting control systems.
In addition, Nuno worked as a researcher and developer at Instituto de Telecomunicações, where they focused on wireless optical communications, intelligent lighting systems, and wireless sensor networks. Nuno Rafael also pursued a PhD at Universidade de Aveiro, where they conducted research on cooperative control of street lighting systems for energy efficiency. Lastly, Nuno worked on the European research project LITES, where they gained expertise in intelligent LED street lighting.
Nuno Rafael Lourenço earned their high school diploma in Electrotechnics/Electronics from Emídio Navarro Highschool in 2001. Nuno Rafael then pursued a Master's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications from Universidade de Aveiro, completing their studies in 2009.
