Katherine Walker

Katherine Walker has over 17 years of work experience in various industries including government, education, and retail. Katherine started their career at Barnes & Noble in 2003 as a Department Manager and worked their way up to become a Store Manager at Barnes & Noble College Booksellers in 2006. In 2005, they briefly worked as a Customer Relations representative at MBNA. Katherine then took up roles at Cecil College where they worked as a Math Lab Specialist and an Adjunct Instructor. From 2013 to 2015, they worked at Salisbury University as a Supplemental Instruction Leader and a Sales Associate at the university bookstore. In 2015, they started a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Alabama in Huntsville where they researched systems generational evolution. Katherine then worked as an Analyst at the Federal Government from 2017 to 2018 before moving to Dynetics, Inc., where they worked as a Jr. Engineering Architect from 2018 to 2020. Currently, they work at Trigon Cyber as an Engineering Architect, a position they have held since June 2020.

Katherine Walker has an extensive education history starting from 1994 when they completed their high school at Elkton High School. Katherine then attended Indian River High School for two years before getting their Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies, Business, Art History, and Religion from Temple University in 2002. In 2003, they briefly studied Educational Leadership and Administration, General at Northern Illinois University. Katherine later went on to complete their Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Salisbury University, where they also minored in Statistics. After that, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Cybersecurity from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2012, and later on, a Master's degree in Operations Research from The University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2016. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and Yellow Belt, and is a Level I/Certified Mentor from the International Mentor Training Program.
