Elena Salgado

Senior Advisor at Trilantic Europe

Elena Salgado is an independent advisor with extensive experience in the public and private sector. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Economy and Finance in the Government of Spain until November 2011, she has also served as Minister for Public Administration and Minister of Health and Consumer Affairs. In the early 90´s, she was Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Member of the Board of several companies, including Telefonica, Renfe and Hispasat. Between 1996 and 2004, and from 2012, Ms Salgado has worked as a senior consultant in regulated industries, mainly electricity, telecoms and transport. She is now the Chairwoman of the Association of Spanish Consultancy Firms (AEC), and Member of the Board of Saba Infrastructures. Ms Salgado is an industrial engineer and holds a degree in Economic Sciences from Madrid University. She has an MBA from School for Industrial Organization (EO).
