Steve Chinn

COO at Trillium Family Services

Steve Chinn is responsible for leadership and oversight of the Operations at the Parry Center for Children campus of Trillium Family Services. These operations include Psychiatric Residential Treatment, Sub Acute programming, the State Hospital program, and Day Treatment/Partial Hospitalization, in addition to other operational departments such as Health Services, Access, Dietary, Facilities/Housekeeping, and Horticulture.

Mr. Chinn began his career with Trillium Family Services as a skills trainer in a residential treatment program on the Children’s Farm Home Campus in 1995. He quickly recognized a passion for working in the field of children’s mental health. Since that time, Mr. Chinn has had the benefit of working in multiple environments within Trillium Family Services. He managed an expansive Day Treatment Program at Waverly Children’s Home for several years before engaging in a unique collaboration with between the State of Oregon and Trillium Family Services that brought the Children’s Psychiatric Unit of the Oregon State Hospital to the Parry Center Campus in 2002. Mr. Chinn managed the Secure Children’s Inpatient Program for many years. In his current role as Vice President of Operations, Mr. Chinn enjoys the privilege and challenge of coordinating a wide variety of departments /systems that create a healthy community of healing at Parry Center for Children.

Mr. Chinn received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Business from Oregon State University in 1995 and achieved his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Portland State University in 1999. When he is not at work, Mr. Chinn enjoys running, sampling the wonderfully diverse food scene in Portland, and spending time with his family.
