Matthew Harlan has a diverse and extensive work experience in the culinary industry. Matthew started their career in 2004 as an Executive Chef at Landry's Restaurants and held this position until 2013. Matthew then worked as an Executive Chef at The Tavern Hospitality Group from 2012 to 2014. Following that, they served as an Executive Chef at Restaurants Unlimited Inc. (RUI) from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Sherwood Country Club as a Chef de Cuisine and worked there until 2017. Since 2017, Matthew has been employed at TriMark USA, where they have held various roles including Business Development Manager, Senior Business Development Manager, Director of Business Development, Vice President of Sales, and currently, as the Regional Vice President of Business Development.

Matthew Harlan completed their education at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts-Portland from 2001 to 2003, where they earned an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Culinary Arts/Chef Training. Prior to that, they attended Broomfield High School from 1997 to 2001 and obtained their GED. Matthew also obtained additional certifications from LinkedIn, including "Greg McKeown on the Art of Getting Effortless Results (Without Burning Out)" and "Sales: Precall Prep for Virtual or In-Person Deals" in 2022.
