Billy Christie

Billy Christie is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the solar energy sector. Currently serving as the Director of the Engineering Center at Trina Solar since June 2023, Billy is responsible for establishing a US-based engineering center to support various product sales. Previously, as Director of Engineering - Preconstruction and Director of Engineering at Borrego from August 2016 to December 2022, Billy managed a cross-functional team and collaborated with regional leadership to drive strategic decisions. Earlier roles at Borrego included Regional Engineering Manager and Project Engineering Manager, focusing on process improvements and project management for commercial PV systems. Billy's career began at SolarCity, where leadership skills were honed while managing design teams. Billy holds a degree from Binghamton University.
