Lorelei Atalie Vargas

Lorelei Atalie Vargas has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Lorelei Atalie currently serves as the Chief Community Impact Officer at Trinity Church Wall Street since June 2021, and prior to that, they were the Executive Director of Trinity Commons from April 2019 to May 2021.

Before joining Trinity Church Wall Street, Lorelei worked at the City of New York, Administration for Children's Services, where they held the position of Deputy Commissioner of Child and Family Well-Being from October 2017 to March 2019. Prior to that role, they served as the Deputy Commissioner of Early Care and Education from November 2014 to October 2017.

Lorelei also has experience at ANDRUS, where they held various leadership positions. Lorelei Atalie served as the Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer from September 2013 to July 2014, Vice President for Strategic Initiatives from January 2009 to September 2013, and Director of Policy, Planning and Research from December 2002 to December 2008.

Additionally, Lorelei worked at the NYC Department of Education as an Associate Education Analyst from February 2001 to November 2002.

Throughout their career, Lorelei has demonstrated expertise in community impact, child and family well-being, early care and education, strategic planning, policy research, and education analysis.

Lorelei Atalie Vargas obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Bryn Mawr College from 1990 to 1994. Lorelei Atalie then pursued their Master of Public Policy degree at the University of Michigan from 1994 to 1996, focusing on Domestic Policy. Lorelei furthered their education with a Master of Arts in Education Administration and Policy, also at the University of Michigan, from 1996 to 2000. In 2010, they earned a Post-Master's Certificate in Executive Leadership from NYU Silver School of Social Work. Additionally, in 2011, they completed a Post-Graduate Certificate program in Nonprofit Executive Leadership at Columbia Business School.
