Lauren Loeffler

Assistant Cross Country Coach at Trinity University

Lauren Loeffler has completed two seasons as the assistant coach of the Trinity Tigers men’s and women’s cross country teams. The Mesa, Arizona, native also coaches distance runners on the Tigers men’s and women’s track & field teams.

Prior to joining the Trinity staff in 2015, the former Lauren Reich worked for five years as the store manager of iRun in San Antonio. She has worked extensively in developing training regimens for runners. including integrated video analysis of running biomechanics, and the development of personal fitness workouts. Coach Loeffler has delivered many lectures and conducted events for a variety of groups.

Additionally, Coach Loeffler has worked for The Form Corp., with individual athletes from high schools and fitness centers. She has helped them develop and achieve specific biomechanical goals.

Coach Loeffler is no stranger to Trinity, having assisted as a running form consultant for several Tiger runners over a two-year period. She previously served as a volunteer assistant coach with Trinity in 2010 and 2011.

Coach Loeffler was a gifted student-athlete at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2010 in biology, with a minor in United States history. Coach Loeffler was an eight-time All-American at the NCAA Division III Championships. Her best finishes included second place in the Indoor mile, and 3rd place in the Outdoor 5k. Rounding out all three distance running disciplines, she also placed fourth at the 2009 NCAA Cross Country Championships.

Additionally, as DePauw was a member of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, she was elected the 2010 SCAC Woman of the Year in 2010, and was the SCAC Runner of the Year in 2006 and 2009. Coach Loeffler is a nine-time SCAC champion in cross country and track.
