Richard H. Reams

Richard Reams is a Licensed Psychologist with a doctorate in Counseling Psychology. He is a native of North Carolina, the cisgender son a working-class family. During his years as a first-generation undergraduate, he found support and guidance from mentors as he navigated challenges to his evolving religious and sexual identities. His transformative undergraduate experience inspired him to pay it forward professionally, and he has done so at Trinity since 1994. Like each of our counselors, he assists students with the most common reasons they seek counseling: sadness/depression, anxiety/stress, and interpersonal concerns. In addition to LGBTQ+ issues, his specialty areas include perfectionism and substance use.
