David Gibson

David Gibson currently serves as the Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at Trinity Valley Community College since January 2022. Previously, David held positions as Chief Information Officer and Information Security Officer at Sul Ross State University from October 2013 to July 2022, where responsibilities included overseeing technology systems and ensuring compliance and resource management. Additionally, David has experience as a Board Member for the Alpine Parks and Recreation Board from September 2015 to May 2018, and worked as a freelance videographer and editor with DAKVideo from 2008 to September 2013. David's career also includes tenure as Director of Computing Services at Abilene Christian University from June 1999 to September 2013, managing campus applications and budgets. Early consulting experience was gained at Renaissance Worldwide, assisting petrochemical firms with software transitions. David holds a Master’s degree in Management, Communications, and Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Abilene Christian University.
