Pai-Hsiang Hsiao

Pai-Hsiang Hsiao has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 1998, they worked as a Research Assistant at Academia Sinica before moving on to Harvard University as a Doctoral Student and Research Assistant from 1999 to 2007. In 2003, they became a Developer for the OpenH323 and XMeeting Project, actively participating in the development of the OpenH323 project and founding the XMeeting project. They then worked as a Software Engineer intern at Vanu Inc. in 2004 and as an Advisory Software Engineer at IBM from 2007 to 2008.

In 2008, Pai-Hsiang joined TripAdvisor, initially as a Software Engineer, before being promoted to Principal Software Engineer in 2010 and then to Technical Manager responsible for TripAdvisor's China site in 2011. They also held the position of Director of Engineering at Yottaa for a brief period in 2011. From 2013 until the present, Pai-Hsiang has served as Director of Engineering at TripAdvisor, overseeing technical operations for production and development infrastructures, as well as information security and security operations.

Alongside their professional roles, Pai-Hsiang Hsiao also worked as a Lecturer at Regis College in 2009 and has a strong background in academia.

Pai-Hsiang Hsiao completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Fu Jen Catholic University from 1991 to 1996. Following that, Pai-Hsiang Hsiao pursued further education at Harvard University, where they obtained a Ph.D. and S.M. degree in Computer Science from 1999 to 2007.
