Ryan Leonard has over 18 years of work experience in the energy sector, holding various leadership roles in power companies such as Triple Oak Power and Avangrid Renewables. Their most recent position was as the Chief Operating Officer at Triple Oak Power, which they began in May 2021. Prior to this, they worked as Senior Director for Mid-Market Origination & New Products and Operations & Management Services at Avangrid Renewables from 2014 to 2021. Ryan also held the position of Director of Market Structure and Policy at Avangrid Renewables from 2014 to 2019. Ryan's previous work experience includes a senior management position at the Midcontinent Independent System Operator and a consulting role at Accenture.
Ryan Leonard completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and Operations Management from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business in 2002. In 2010, they went on to pursue their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Energy and Environment from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business, completing it in 2012. Ryan then furthered their education by earning a Master's Certificate in Applied Economics from the University of Maryland between 2015 and 2017.
