Salem Karani

Salem Karani is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software development, machine learning, and computer vision. Currently serving as CEO at Tristar AI since July 2022, Salem focuses on providing factories with insights through smart camera technology. Prior roles include Software Developer at Pattern Research, where tools for crypto trading were developed, and Senior Software Engineer at GreenSight, leading efforts in computer vision for drones. Salem has also worked with major organizations such as ExxonMobil and MIT, contributing to reservoir simulation, medical image analysis, and innovative research in biomedical informatics. Salem holds a Master’s degree in Biomedical Informatics from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
