Ryan Pierce, CSP has a diverse work experience in various industries, including the military, construction, and academia. Ryan is currently serving as a Sr. Instructor for Command General Staff College in the US Army Reserves. Prior to this, they held the role of Corporate Safety Director at Triton Marine Construction Corp. Ryan has also worked as a Cascadia Rising Exercise Planner in the Washington Army National Guard and served as the Commander of 741 Ordnance Battalion (EOD). Ryan has previous experience as a Safety Manager at SafeWorks, LLC and as an Assistant Professor of Military Science at the University of Washington. Additionally, they have worked in roles such as Asst. S3/Team Leader in the 96th MET, Company Commander in the Army National Guard, and Safety and Damage Prevention at Cascade Natural Gas. Ryan is also a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE).
Ryan Pierce, CSP, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Safety and Health Management from Central Washington University, which they obtained between 1997 and 2000. In 2007, they also became a Certified Safety Professional through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals. Ryan later pursued an MBA with a specialization in Change Leadership at City University of Seattle, completing their degree between 2008 and 2010. Ryan furthered their education with a focus on Military and Strategic Leadership through the Command General Staff College- Resident in 2016-2017 and National Defense Strategy and Defense Support of Civil Authorities at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College during the same timeframe. Additionally, Ryan obtained Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the Military Department Washington in October 2015.
