Mariama Pouye

Mariama Pouye is a skilled publishing and arts professional with diverse experience in various roles within the literary and theater sectors. Currently serving as a Publisher Development Associate at Independent Publishers Group since June 2022, Mariama has also held positions such as Rotating Intern at The House Theatre of Chicago and Inspiritus Fellow. Previous internships include opportunities at Nieman Inc. and American Forum, where responsibilities included research and article writing. As Artistic Director at Spectrum Theatre Company, Mariama demonstrated leadership in the arts community. Early career experiences include customer service roles as a Host at Barrique Kitchen & Wine Bar and The Mossfire Grill. Mariama holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Theatre from Northwestern University, completed in 2022.
