Isabel Villanueva has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Isabel started their career in 2008 as a CRUK Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The School of Pharmacy, University of London. In this role, they focused on cancer research, specifically protein-protein interactions and the development of novel small molecules for chemotherapeutic intervention.

In 2011, they transitioned to the industry and joined Oakland Innovation as a Senior Analyst. Here, they utilized their scientific background to contribute to various research and analysis projects.

In 2015, Isabel joined INC Research as an In-house CRA/Central Monitoring Associate I. Isabel was responsible for remote monitoring and site management of Phase II-IV clinical research studies, ensuring compliance with regulations and guidelines.

In 2016, they moved to Syneos Health, where they held multiple roles over the years. Isabel started as an In-House CRA (CMA) II, responsible for site management and compliance. Isabel was later promoted to Senior Clinical Monitoring Associate (In-house CRA) I and II, where they led CMAs, oversaw project completion, and reviewed monitoring documentation.

Isabel'smost recent position is with TRI - The RBQM Experts, where they work as a Risk Based Quality Management Operations Consultant since 2023.

Throughout their career, Isabel Villanueva has demonstrated expertise in research, site management, monitoring, and compliance within the pharmaceutical and clinical research industries.

Isabel Villanueva has a diverse education history in the field of Chemistry. Isabel began their academic journey at the University of Valencia, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry at the University of Cambridge from 2003 to 2004. Continuing their educational journey, Isabel went on to earn a PhD in Organic Chemistry from The University of Edinburgh, which they completed from 2004 to 2008. It is worth noting that Isabel also holds a certification as a Certified Central Monitor accredited by the International Academy of Clinical Research (IAoCR) from the International Academy of Clinical Research (IAoCR).
