Thomas Bartel

Thomas Bartel has extensive experience in web interface engineering, currently serving as the Head of Web Interface Engineering at trivago since March 2013. Bartel's roles at trivago have included Team Lead Interface Platform, JavaScript Software Engineer, Product Manager, and Software Engineering Team Lead, with responsibilities encompassing technical design decisions, people management, recruiting, and team development. Prior to trivago, Bartel worked at UST GmbH from 2001 to 2011 as a Lead Web Developer and Web Developer. Bartel holds a Diplom in Informatik from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, obtained between 2002 and 2008, and has also studied at the University of Waterloo in 2005-2006.
